Infographics have been all the rage among marketers for the past few years. A lot of people might be wondering if they are still as effective as they once were and why they continue to be such effective mediums for marketers. Below, we will be going over some of the main reasons infographics continue to reign supreme as a marketing method.

Why Infographics Are So Effective:

1. Consumers Absolutely Love Them.

The fact is, consumers absolutely love infographics. They are one of the most effective forms of marketing and advertising for a variety of reasons. They offer visual content which is easily the most effective form of content marketing in today's digital and highly competitive marketplace. This is due to the fact that 90% of information is transmitted visually to the brain. Thus, visuals are processed much faster than written content. Along with this, over 40% of people are going to respond better to visual content than content that is written in plain text. Over 93% of all human communication is actually nonverbal. Thus, it adheres to the way we as a human species typically communicate most of the time.

2. More Engaging.

Another reason they are so effective is that they are capable of providing the content in a much more engaging manner. This is because they provide visual evidence that consumers can actually look at, comprehend, and remember. More people are going to be convinced of something if they see visual proof of it rather than seeing it written without any visual evidence. Studies have shown that verbal presentations that include visuals are much more convincing than those that do not. The same remains true with infographics.

3. Easier To Remember.

As noted above, infographics rely on visuals which are going to be much easier to remember than plain text. People remember 80% of what they see and do versus only 20% of what they read. Thus, you are going to have a much easier time getting consumers to remember what it is that you are offering by offering it in a form that is going to help them remember.

4. Better Branding Opportunities.

Another benefit that you are going to get when you utilize infographics is the ability to brand the content in a much better way. Because you are going to be able to properly brand the content, it is going to allow for a much better overall advertising and marketing approach because the consumer is going to know exactly who is producing the advertising and marketing material.

Overall, infographics are one of the best and most effective ways to produce and share content to consumers because they adhere to the principles by which we actively communicate in. Not only do they adhere to these principles, but they are effective at communicating different things to us as consumers in a way that is going to allow us to absorb and remember. Ultimately, they are 30 times more effective than a simple text-based article. Thus, they are something that is often under-utilized by advertisers, marketers, and businesses. If you are looking to present something to your prospective or current customers, you might want to consider investing in and/or creating an infographic to successfully do so because it is much more likely to reach your target market much better than a simple text-based article. Not only will you be able to achieve a much better retention rate of what you are offering, but it is going to be much more effective absorbed by your target market as well.
